I am crappy at blogging. Let's be real about it. However, I realized I had not blogged in a while and always enjoy updating it with my stories. We finished the competition with the laides and I won!! I lost about 20 pounds from February to May. We did a family competition this last summer and we came in second with points, not pounds lost, though. So, a family friend suggested we do the "Game-On Diet" and play as a family again on our family teams. The Game-On Diet is a healthy eating plan, not really a diet, per se. You get points for eating 5 small meals a day (each meal contains carbs, fat, and protein) with two meals you have to have veggies. You get points for drinking 3 liters of water a day, sleeping 7 hours minimum, exercising 20 minutes minimum a day, transforming a good habit and bad habit in your life, communicating with teams, etc. We actually got a mediocre response from people in the family but the ones who wanted to play are playing now. It is going really well. Cody and I love the game and it has been fun working together and getting our points in. I like it because it is not a diet, it is a way of life. So far, I am down 27.2 pounds all together. I made a fitness goal in the game of doing strength training for half my workouts during the week. It is going well, also!I love seeing my body firming up and transforming. No hangover on my pants in the back, my abs tightening up and my arms not jiggling as much. It is a journey and I am being patient with my body and letting it do what it does.
